The Firm represents clients in civil litigation in federal and state courts, in arbitrations, in mediations and pre-complaint dispute resolution, and in appeals. In addition, the Firm has represented clients in bankruptcy proceedings, including in adversary proceedings, court appointed examiner investigations and related matters including post-plan litigations brought by litigation and creditor trusts.
In federal and state court, the Firm’s matters include engagements on behalf of officers, directors and executives in class action and derivative litigation. Often, these engagements are parallel with government and regulatory investigations and proceedings, and in these settings the Firm is highly experienced in the judgments required to protect our clients’ interests in all fora. In other litigation, the Firm has represented clients in substantial commercial contract litigation, partnership disputes, alleged legal malpractice actions, fund management lawsuits, New York State tax and other claims against an entity associated with a Native American Tribe, and others. Partners of the Firm have tried civil actions before judges and juries.
The Firm has also represented broker dealers in securities arbitrations, has represented claimants and respondents in arbitrations of private disputes, and has successfully mediated pre-complaint allegations.
